The original recipe didn&#8217;t have noodles, peas or corn. Since I&#8217;m also feeding my Father-in-Law, I wanted to add some vegetables to make sure he&#8217;s getting his daily serve!<br \/>\nI made the sauce in the Thermomix, but it&#8217;s easily made on the stove top.<\/p>\n<p>Recipe developed for the TM31.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bushgourmand.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Tuna-Casserole.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-351\" src=\"http:\/\/bushgourmand.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Tuna-Casserole-300x184.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"184\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thermogourmand.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Tuna-Casserole-300x184.jpg 300w, http:\/\/thermogourmand.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Tuna-Casserole.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Tuna and Pineapple Casserole<\/b><br \/>\n<i>The Bush Gourmand<\/i><\/p>\n<p>2 onions<br \/>\n60g butter<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">2 or more tsp curry powder to taste<br \/>\n2 Tbsp plain flour<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups milk<\/p>\n<p>1 large tin tuna, drained<br \/>\n1 x 450g can pineapple pieces (I only had crushed pineapple, so used that)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup frozen peas<br \/>\n1\/2 cup frozen corn niblets<br \/>\n1\/2 cup vermicelli soup noodles<br \/>\nsalt and pepper (I used 3 tsp chicken stock powder instead)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/bushgourmand.blogspot.com.au\/search\/label\/Panko\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Home made breadcrumbs<\/a><br \/>\nmelted butter<\/p>\n<p>Peel and cut onions into quarters. Chop for 3 seconds\/speed 5. Scrape down and repeat. Add butter and saute on speed 3\/reverse\/100, setting timer for 5 minutes.<br \/>\nAt the 4 minute mark, add flour and curry powder and continue\u00a0sauteing for a further minute.<br \/>\nSet dial to speed 2\/reverse\/1 minutes and gradually add milk. Cook on 100\/5 minutes\/Reverse\/speed 2-3<br \/>\nAdd noodles and pineapple, including juice and continue cooking for a minute or so.<br \/>\nPlace tuna into a casserole dish with peas and corn and pour sauce over.
