Delicious Varoma Steak (Reverse Seared)
- 2 scotch fillet or porterhouse steaks
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 3 Tbsp cream
- ¼ cup water
- cornflour slurry
- Mix marinade ingredients in a small bowl.
- Place each steak into a ziplock bag. Add 2 Tbsp marinade to each bag and seal.
- Smoosh around to coat steaks.
- Place side by side in Varoma bowl.
- Add 500g water to Thermomix bowl. Place Varoma on top.
- Set 8 min/Varoma/sp 2.5.
- Remove carefully and set aside, reserving marinade for a sauce. If planning to cook much later, refrigerate. Bring to room temperature before cooking.
- Preheat BBQ or pan.
- Dry steaks with paper towel and spray lightly with a little oil.
- Sear on each side for 1 to 2 minutes, depending on thickness of steaks and desired doneness.
